Innovation Intensive will help you improve the effectiveness of innovation projects. Design Thinking is a popular framework that is viewed as best practice, but it’s only part of the solution. If you don’t know the newer more advanced tools, and some neglected old technologies, including Agile, Lean, TRIZ, Synectics, Stage-Gate, Theory of Constraints, and CPS, you’re missing opportunities.
Participants learn how to avoid classic pitfalls and adopt emerging advanced practices. The course covers management mandates, project cycles, resourcing, idea management systems, idea generation tools, concept development, prototyping, and pitch presentations. This is the same course as the one we’re doing at Catalyst Ranch, with the added benefit of master trainer and facilitator Kim Smoyer joining Gregg Fraley. Kim works with non-profits and is an expert in organizational development; she will share her experiences facilitating boards and community groups. Join us at CRC’s office in downtown Denver.
Advanced Innovation Facilitation Training
Friday, November 2 at CRC
This is a one day deep-dive, hands-on workshop in facilitation of innovation projects. It’s intended for the project manager or director of innovation at an organization. In some organizations that’s the head person, in larger groups, it’s a high-level and empowered manager, or innovation team leader.
There is a heavy emphasis in this workshop on the nuts and bolts of facilitating innovation process. This includes the various meetings, steps, and processes that make innovation happen. It starts with invoking an innovation culture and desire, identifies challenges and opportunity areas, generates ideas, and refines and implements real world change. This course provides the essential frameworks, tools and techniques to facilitate and execute an innovation project, and on-going innovation project cycles. Tools covered: visioning, challenge mapping, brainstorming planning and execution, Brain-writing, charting, concept writing, forced associations, convergence tools (PPCO), and innovation road-mapping.
